| Duties: | HRI seeks a highly motivated individual with the ability to: develop business opportunities; analyze complex scientific marketing, technical, regulatory and legal issues; develop marketing programs; negotiate contracts; and assist in the licensing of bio technology. Candidate must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and the ability to work independently. Duties will include: performance of market research to assist in review of inventions and assessment of intellectual property value, determining potential commercial markets for such inventions; proactively contacting potential licensees, developing and tracking marketing programs to promote portfolio; serve as liaison with patent attorneys and inventors to assess/coordinate legal aspects of inventions; review and negotiations of material transfer and confidentiality agreements; maintain web site; author trade press articles; maintain budgets and prepare regulatory filings; Other related duties as assigned. Specific duties and level of responsibility will vary depending upon the grade level at which the position is filled. |
| Qualifications: | Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or science and two years of experience; OR a Master's degree and one year of experience; OR a Doctorate degree. Computer skills (Web research, database, spreadsheet and word processing) are required. An additional year of experience is required for the M23 position.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in technology transfer and/or research administration, and marketing, business development or sales. Ideal candidate will possess a background in biological sciences. Knowledge of intellectual property or legal experience is a plus. Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
