| Duties: | Assist in the coordination of training activities for health care providers, schools, local health departments and other individuals who require access to the New York State Immunization Information System (NYSIIS). Responsibilities include making logistical arrangements for classroom, webinar and on-site training opportunities. The incumbent will export registrations from “Zoomerang” and “Webex” software applications into a tracking spreadsheet; send electronic confirmation to registrants prior to training; add registrants into the NYSIIS training application, mail registrants a copy of the NYSIIS user manual. Identify and contact non-participating providers; assist providers in establishing Health Commerce System Accounts; assist providers in establishing NYSIIS user accounts and assist providers in accessing available training opportunities. Provide ongoing technical assistance and support to NYSIIS users. Assist in the coordination and implementation of all NYSIIS user group meetings, stakeholders meetings, and presentations. Assist with other immunization program activities as needed. |
| Qualifications: | Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and one year of administrative or secretarial experience; OR an Associate's degree and three years progressively responsible administrative or secretarial experience; OR five years of progressively responsible administrative or secretarial experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel & PowerPoint. Background in field of health policy, management and behavior. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively organize diverse resource materials. Demonstrated ability to work independently.
Conditions of employment: Grant funded position. Temporary position funded through 7/30/10.
